With revenues of more than $40 billion and the largest investment in R&D in the industry, we give our people the resources and chances to create significant contributions to the world. **Location/Division Specific Information** Join our Miami, FL team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where world-class innovation meets outstanding equipment maintenance standards. **Discover Impactful Work:** Your role as a Senior Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician involves maintaining our production equipment. **A day in the Life:** + Make repairs or adjustments on production equipment as requested. + Fabricate replacement parts within our maintenance machining/welding shop. + Communicate daily with the Maintenance Team Lead about significant information. + Assists in analyzing and correcting problems encountered during Maintenance work to ensure work is performed according to SOP's. + Connect with supervisor/engineering regarding equipment condition and provide recommendations for improved reliability plan. **Keys to Success:** Education + High school diploma or equivalent experience required. **Experience** + 3+ years of applicable work experience. + Experience with automated production equipment in a manufacturing environment. + Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, lubrication, electrical systems, industrial automation, and controls technology. **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities** + Strong mechanical skills for equipment disassembly, repairs, and reassembly. + Knowledge of industrial control wiring systems. + Excellent customer service abilities. + Proficiency in welding/machining/fabrication. + Team-oriented and collaborative with a hands-on approach. + Interpersonal skills, both oral and written. + Welding/Machining/Fabrication proficiency. + Team-oriented and hands-on: Actively participates in a collaborative, quality-driven atmosphere. Capable of doing work both independently and collaboratively. Thrives in fast-paced environments and can handle numerous activities well. + Knowledge of CMMS and BAS computer systems. + Proficiency in building systems such as HVAC, WFI system, compressed air, plumbing, plant + steam and electrical distribution systems to perform equipment upkeep and repairs. **Preferred Skills/Qualifications:** + Process automation troubleshooting experience. + Proficient in electrical, electronics and controls technologies. + Powered industrial equipment operation training. + Training and experience with safety programs such as lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, and elevated work + Electrical Skills + Maximo experience **Physical Requirements / Work Environment** Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and stand for extended periods. Adherence to strict GMP Safety Standards and cleanroom protocols is required. Will encounter loud noises and fluctuating temperatures, and must handle hazardous materials with appropriate PPE. Standing for up to 6 hours at a time, up to 8 hours a day, with frequent squatting, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting at waist, and climbing ladders. Coverage of 12 hour shifts for 3rd shift technician during PTO.
