Position Overview:

Provide specialized surgical support for pediatric procedures in a Level I trauma center and academic medical environment. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes for pediatric patients across complex specialties.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program
• Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience (within the last 4 years) in:
  • Acute care facilities comparable to Level 1 trauma centers or teaching hospitals
  • Specialty areas such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, trauma, vascular, ENT, bariatric, GU, and GYN
  • Pediatric experience is preferred
  • Scrub experience is required.
• Technical Skills:
• Complex pediatric scrub procedures
• Sterile field maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare/sterilize instruments for pediatric surgeries
• Anticipate surgeon needs during complex procedures
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection protocols
• Handle specialized pediatric surgical equipment
• Assist in trauma, orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases
• Coordinate specimen management and documentation
