Job Description

Job Description

Computer Integration Technologies, Inc. (CIT) is hiring an experienced Field Technician. With a strong focus on excellent customer service, you will install, service, and test electronic security systems—including access control systems, burglar alarms, CCTV, and related security equipment—in commercial and industrial environments.

In addition to security systems, you will play a key role on our structured cabling team, where your expertise in low voltage electrical work will be essential. This includes pulling cable and optical fiber, executing long and complex cable runs, and ensuring clean, efficient installations that meet industry standards. Your hands-on experience with cable routing, termination, and testing will be critical to supporting high-performance network infrastructure across diverse job sites.

Joining CIT means working with a team of experts who are as passionate about their profession as you are, you’ll enjoy the benefits of a workplace that emphasizes continuous learning, collaboration, and a fun, positive atmosphere. You’ll have opportunities for professional growth, including paid vendor certifications and continuous learning opportunities from our vendors. Our generous Flexible Time Off (FTO) policy encourages you to take the time off you need, when you need it, for a true work-life balance.

Things You Can Expect To Do

  • Conduct installations and repairs for structured cabling, access controls, and security systems at client sites.
  • Pull wires, install mounts, and connect related security system equipment.
  • Test and troubleshoot system performance after installation.
  • Train customers on system operations and functionality.
  • Communicate daily with Project Managers regarding delays, requirements, and job status.
  • Ensure projects stay within phase estimates and collaborate on change orders and job closeouts.
  • Maintain truck stock inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Follow CIT and client safety protocols.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance of customer systems.
  • Represent CIT professionally with customers.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects.
  • Participate in required training and attend company meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience working with low voltage cabling and commercial security systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Current valid Power Limited Technician (PLT) License.
  • This position will travel up to 10% of the time out of state for up to 5 days at a time.
  • This position may require shift work as part of an organization that operates 24/7/365 and may require the ability to work weekends, evenings, overnight, or holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to reach, grasp, lift, and carry boxes and other items up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to accomplish fine motor tasks relating to typing and manipulating wires.
  • Ability to set up and climb on ladders and operate scissor and boom lifts.
  • Occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
  • Must be able to meet all the physical requirements of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of related experience in a technology environment.
  • Verkada or other enterprise grade physical security system certifications.
