Competition Production Assistant – Divacomps

Location: Various cities (travel required)
Job Type: Event-based / Seasonal (Weekends January-May)

Position Overview:

We are seeking energetic, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our event production team as Competition Production Assistants . This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in teamwork, and is passionate about live events and production.

Responsibilities:

• Event Setup & Teardown: Load in and set up production and stage equipment, lighting, and sound systems. Strike and load out all equipment at the end of the event.
• Stage Operations: Assist with stage setup, prop organization, and general backstage support during performances.
• Backstage Assistance: Work closely with the Backstage Manager to help keep performances running smoothly and on schedule.
• Merchandise Area: Set up and maintain the merchandise booth, handle sales, and interact with attendees in a friendly and professional manner.
• Event Support: Run errands for meals, supplies, or other event needs as directed by management.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service to studio directors, dancers, and families throughout the event.

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Positive, upbeat, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs)
• Willingness to work long hours over event weekends (Friday–Sunday, sometimes Thursday load-ins)
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel as needed
• Previous experience in live events, dance competitions, or stage production a plus (but not required)

Pay: $20.00 per hour
