Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota is seeking a full-time Child and Family Services Social Worker in our Mankato, MN office. This program supports confident pregnancies and stable beginnings for all children.

Duties

• This position will work with new and expectant parents to provide case management
• Parenting education and planning
• Pregnancy counseling
• Adoption planning and placement.
• Complete assessments
• Provide baby items, and supports young families through case management
• Complete home study assessments and education for families who are applying to adopt a child.
• Knowledge of adoption and pregnancy & parenting counseling is preferred
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!
• Other Duties as assigned

Experience

• Candidate must be licensed as a social worker in the State of Minnesota and able to earn certification in child passenger safety within 3 months of hire
• The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in child welfare and development and aware of resources and support in the community
• At least one year of experience working with children and families is preferred
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent the agency with integrity
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota
• Flexible, self-motivated, and collaborative approach to team and community work

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
