**Description** SAIC is seeking rising juniors or seniors to join the Ground-Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) for the summer of 2026, GMASS has Software Engineering internship positions available. These interns will be performing software support using C++ or Linux to resolve coding errors, assist in developing and updating code. All of the positions under this job requisition will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado. **Roles and responsibilities potentially include:** + Performs Software Engineering activities including requirements definition, system analysis, scripting to automate processes, and design, and systems integration. + Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to review and resolve coding errors and develop new code. + Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents to develop specifications. + Develop modeling and simulation using MATLAB and STK. + Investigates anomalies and supports multidisciplinary teams for resolution. **Areas of Technical Interest:** + Software systems engineering and coding (Python, Java, C, C++). + Web development (Jascript, html) and Database (SQL). + System data structures and algorithms (sorting, linked lists, arrays, trees). + Debugging tools. + Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence). + Gitlab/Git Command Line. **Qualifications** + Pursuit of BS in a STEM related degree field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science. + Basic understanding of C++ and/or Linux. + Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams. + ****Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance. NOTE: Federal law requires U.S. citizenship to obtain a clearance.** Target salary range: Up to $40,000.
