Job Description

We are looking for a talented Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the school year.

  • In-person SLPA or CF
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • 11/10/2025 - 05/28/2026

Hourly Rate Range: $33.00 - $42.00 per hour

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing therapy services to students with communication disorders in individual, small group, and classroom settings.
  • Implement therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP, targeting articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and social communication goals.
  • Prepare and organize instructional materials and therapy activities to support student progress.
  • Record accurate and detailed data on student performance and assist in preparing progress reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to all ethical and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents under the supervision of the SLP to ensure consistent support across educational environments.
  • Follow all Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines in delivering services.
  • Participate in supervision meetings, training sessions, and school team meetings as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • Must work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
