Overview
The Community Events and Partnerships Team raises over $15M annually through more than 300 volunteer-run events and a dozen signature events, supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's mission to advance cancer research and patient care. The Senior Director, Community Fundraising, plays a strategic leadership role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to build and grow a vibrant community of volunteer led events and programs. This position oversees innovative fundraising programs, ensuring they meet ambitious revenue targets and enhance donor engagement. The Senior Director leads and mentors a dedicated team, fostering professional growth and aligning efforts with broader organizational objectives. Additionally, the Senior Director cultivates relationships with key stakeholders and manages budgets, revenue projections, and financial reports to ensure fiscal responsibility. This position is considered remote, 0-1 days onsite at 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA each week. DFCI guidelines state that employees must reside in New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont.

Oversee a team of 8 including 2 direct reports.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 8+ years’ relevant work experience, preferably in professional fundraising or event management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Organized and detail oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills; possess the ability to work well with DFCI departments and donor/volunteer constituencies; problem solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong word processing and Excel skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.

The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
Salary: $177,637
