The Project Accountant will support the organization’s construction and development projects by managing financial reporting, compliance, and cost tracking. This individual will ensure accuracy across multiple projects, manage dual sets of books, and provide critical financial insights to project managers, leadership, and external stakeholders.

Manage financial reporting and accounting for multiple construction and real estate projects.
Prepare, review, and reconcile monthly financial statements.
Accurately complete and interpret AIA documents G702/703 forms for lender and regulatory reporting.
Maintain and manage two sets of books.
Track project costs, budgets, commitments, and change orders.
Work closely with project managers, development staff, and external auditors.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and organization-specific accounting policies.
Support annual audits and assist with grant/funding compliance reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field .
3–5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within construction or real estate (affordable housing experience a plus).
Strong understanding of construction cost accounting and project reporting.
Experience with G702/703 forms required.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy.
Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; ERP or construction-specific systems preferred. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across teams.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days remote .
Standard work hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm .
