PP Wire Saw Operator - Plastics (1st Shift)

As a PP Wire SawOperato r set up and operate the wire saws and complete quality checks and all documentation.

Currently there is an opening for a PP Wire SawOperator in our Plastics division on 1stshift (Monday - Thursday 6:30AM to 4:30PM)

Plastics PP Wire Saw Operator : Starting at $19.58 per hour!

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine the customer requirements per the work order.
• Prepare wire/spring assemblies to correct length.
• Set up wire saws with wires at appropriate distance apart allowing for kerf.
• Set appropriate voltage and table/carriage speed to achieve the correct part thickness.
• Load blocks on wire saw tables.
• Remove slices from the wire saw tables and stack on carts/skids.
• Change wires at appropriate intervals to avoid failure and scrap.
• Perform and record all necessary information to ensure traceability and quality.
• Report production results at the end of the shift on all necessary documents and or software.
• Properly dispose of scrap material per Plascore Inc. non-conforming material procedure.
• Properly identify all material to ensure traceability.
• Follow all work orders and process specifications.
• Assist other production areas as required.
• Improve job efficiency and performance through idea suggestions.
• Provide the customer with the best value including Cost Quality and Delivery by being efficient productive and careful.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work overtime
• Mechanically inclined
