We’re looking for 500+ hour certified Pilates Instructors to join our team! You provide best-in-class Pilates reformer classes for upwards of 12+ students in the room. You are obsessed with contributing to students shaking, sweating, and sculpting their bodies to achieve their best selves. You are edgy, supportive, charismatic, committed, inspiring and kind. You are a proud representative of the NYP brand. 

This role is available both as a part-time hourly and full-time hourly. This position will report to the Studio Manager, as well as coordinating with other members of the NYP executive Team. We are hiring across our NYC Region!

The interview process will include completing an application and call with our recruiter to review expectations of the role! Then, you’ll be invited to audition with NYP, submitting a 20 min video audition of you teaching a reformer pilates class, demonstrating your skills and experience while highlighting your personality; We can’t wait to meet you! 

 

The Role

• Program and lead reformer group classes, privates, & duets in-studio
• Follow NYP Programming Guidelines and stay updated with product changes
• Commit to a regular teaching schedule and fulfill monthly subbing duties
• Represent NYP and adhere to brand standards through professional dress, presentation, and communication
• Foster and build a strong community among students and peers
• Actively promote NYP classes and schedule 
• Complete monthly subbing requirements based on employment status

 

Required Skills

• Completed Pilates Reformer Certification required , comprehensive certification a plus
• Experience teaching group reformer Pilates classes
• Demonstrate full-range Pilates reformer exercises in real time
• Lift and adjust Pilates equipment (up to 25 lbs, occasionally throughout a shift)
• Sustain moderate physical activity for up to 45 minutes per class
• Available to commit to a teaching schedule of 15+ hours per week
• Maintain balance, flexibility, and physical responsiveness to coach and assist students
• Take at least 4 Pilates classes per month to support ongoing professional development and product familiarity. Reasonable accommodations will be considered.
• Ability to adapt and show resilience, being flexible and pivot based on prioritization of student and/or growing business needs
• Familiarity with Balanced Body equipment preferred
• Act as a Company Ambassador, promoting the company through own actions and relationships 
• Positive, confident and kind demeanor

New York Pilates offers a paid onboarding program to train you on our signature method, Abs, Arms, Ass where you will build the confidence to instruct on our floor! With access to our digital learning platform, you will work in our top tier curriculum and with our supportive training team members across NYC and the Hamptons.

Not certified? We strive to deliver the clearest structure that aligns the entire team to success.  Based on tenure, experience and certifications, you could make $45-$79/hr.
