Position Summary

We are seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with pediatric experience to join our team temporarily at the Maternal and Child Health Center. The ideal candidate is compassionate, bilingual (English/Spanish), and experienced with Dentrix and pediatric workflows.

Location: San Ysidro, CA 92173

Start Date: November 17, 2025

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist pediatric dentists in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Perform four-handed dentistry and a full scope of dental assisting procedures.
Take and process oral radiographs in compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in Dentrix (and EPIC preferred).
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care.
Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all patients.

Education & Experience

Education: Post-high school vocational/specialized training in dental assisting required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year as a dental assistant with pediatric experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Dentrix required; EPIC experience preferred.
Strong computer and communication skills.

Licenses & Certifications

Current California RDA License
Radiation Safety Certificate
Coronal Polish Certificate
CPR/BLS Certification (Required)
