Nurse Practitioner -  Centennial, CO

Compensation: $97,000.00 - $120,000.00 Annually

Overview: Nexus HR is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for our Longmont, CO location, which offers infusion and injection therapies, monitors patient safety, and manages adverse reactions. This role educates patients, reviews and approves infusion orders, and collaborates with providers to ensure safe and effective care. The NP also serves as a clinical resource for staff, maintains required certifications, and stays current on infusion products and protocols within the Allergy and Immunology divisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify patient care requirements by establishing rapport with patients, their families, and care providers.

• Establish a compassionate environment through emotional and psychological support.

• Resolve patient problems and needs.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.

• Document and communicate within the care team to maintain continuity of care.

• Ensure the operation of the equipment.

• Provide patient care in the infusion center, including assessment and administration of infusible products per clinical protocols.

• Maintain patient records of vital statistics and pertinent data.

• Clean and stock infusion rooms.

• Perform venipuncture and administer injections as ordered.

• Coordinate specialty lab draws and monitor vital signs.

• Conduct patient intake, updating current medications, allergies, medical history, and recent physician or hospital visits.

• Educate patients.

• Participate in team problem-solving and assist coworkers as needed.

• Perform related medical and non-medical tasks as directed.

Qualifications :

• Master’s degree in nursing

• Colorado State License

• 1-3 years of experience, ideally with infusion therapy.

• IgCN infusion certification or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months of hiring.

• Maintains BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Current GCP certification or willingness to obtain immediately upon hiring.

• Must remain on site for the duration of the patient's infusion, 4 days per week.

• This position includes travel between our Centennial and Smoky Hill (Aurora) offices on a weekly basis.

• Some Saturdays may be required

• Requires participation in the provider on-call rotation
