Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description We are seeking an entry-level Lab Technician to join our laboratory team in Wheat Ridge, CO. The Lab Technician I will be responsible for preparing samples with accuracy and precision according to analytical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role involves working independently and collaboratively to meet daily production targets and ensure that hold times and turnaround times are adhered to. The successful candidate will always follow safe laboratory practices and maintain a secure working environment. Responsibilities + Independently prepare samples for analysis following analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department. + Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of preparation instruments and equipment. + Assist with validation and Method Detection Limit (MDL) studies as needed. + Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory functions and operations. + Maintain a Laboratory Notebook where applicable. + Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures. + Perform additional duties as required. + 1st shift duties include light wet chemistry and general chemistry tasks such as pH, conductivity, balance, weighing, filtering, reagent preparation, hot blocking, and digestions. Essential Skills + Sample preparation + Wet chemistry + Sample intake + Basic English language skills + Basic mathematical skills + Basic reasoning abilities + Basic computer skills + Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull upwards of 25 lbs frequently Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma (Required) + Associate Degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline (Preferred) + 1-2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (Preferred) Work Environment The lab operates in a high-volume production environment, serving project-oriented and deadline-driven clients. There are two open positions with different shifts: 1st shift is Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm with a one-hour lunch break. Training will be provided on the assigned shift. The busiest times are at the end of the month. The opportunity to work uncapped overtime before your shift or on weekends is available, subject to supervisor approval. Tasks may include organization, waste disposal, and sample disposal. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheat Ridge, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
