Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and delivering insights that aid strategic decision-making. This position requires strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and effective communication to collaborate across teams. Responsibilities: - Conduct monthly reconciliation and analysis of financial data to ensure accurate reporting aligned with accounting principles. - Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations, highlighting trends and explaining variances in forecasts, budgets, and prior year comparisons. - Collaborate with remote units to review month-end data, investigate anomalies, and ensure the accuracy of financial inputs. - Develop margin analysis schedules, customer analysis reports, and SG& A schedules to facilitate comprehensive variance analysis. - Support the creation of monthly finance updates, including performance metrics, bookings, backlog trends, and other key indicators. - Assist in the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. - Perform in-depth analysis on financial results and business indicators to identify opportunities and risks. - Partner with accounting and finance teams to refine month-end reporting and forecasting activities. - Offer recommendations for process improvement based on thorough reviews of current systems and workflows. - Handle ad hoc financial tasks as needed to support departmental objectives. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytical finance role or strategic finance functions. - Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis. - Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting methodologies. - Excellent attention to detail with a proven ability to deliver accurate and timely work. - Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams. - Familiarity with financial reporting systems such as OneStream and Access. - Ability to review current processes and propose meaningful improvements.
