Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join the team as an Estimator/Project Manager. This role involves delivering competitive cost estimates for construction projects by calculating labor, equipment, and material requirements. The position requires analyzing bid documents, assessing risks and opportunities, and supporting project execution from startup to completion, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. Key Responsibilities Bid Preparation: Acquire bid documents, including plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and other relevant materials. Scope Analysis: Review project plans to determine the scope of work and takeoff requirements. Quantitative Analysis: Perform material and quantity takeoffs for construction elements such as asphalt pavement, earthwork, utilities, concrete curb, and flatwork. Subcontractor Engagement: Solicit and evaluate subcontractor quotes to enhance bid competitiveness. Bid Analysis: Collaborate with management to analyze bids and market conditions. Attend pre-bid meetings and bid openings. Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, and architects throughout project execution. Financial Oversight: Manage bonding, change orders, and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle. Project Startup: Organize and lead startup meetings to ensure smooth project initiation. Schedule Development: Assist in developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules. Financial Tracking: Review monthly estimates and follow up on receivables. Reporting: Maintain reports and databases to track project progress.
