Job Description

Corporate Attorney (Transactional)

Corporate Associate with 0-2 years of corporate law experience to work in our Lexington office. The position requires significant client contact and the ability to excel when working independently. Superior client communication, writing, research, computer, and organizational skills are a must.

Background Requirements:

* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Licensed to practice law in Kentucky.
* Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
* Analyze and investigate litigation matters
* Develop case strategy (including claims, defenses, and researching applicable caselaw)
* Assist in all phases of litigation including arguing and defending motions, taking and defending depositions, and participation at trial
* Prepare and review motions, briefs, and discovery

Compensation is based on years of experience. This is a wonderful opportunity in a growing firm practicing the sophisticated law of a large law firm in a boutique law firm setting.
