Position Summary:
A growing commercial roofing company is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Roofer to join our team in the Greenville / Spartanburg area. This position involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and built-up roofing. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other roofing professionals is essential to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and replace commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, and built-up roofs.

• Apply roofing materials using heat welding, cold application, and mechanical fastening techniques.

• Ensure proper sealing and waterproofing of penetrations, seams, and flashings.

• Conduct roof inspections to identify leaks, damage, or deterioration.

• Safely operate roofing tools and equipment such as torches, rollers, cutters, and power tools.

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine project scope and requirements.

• Maintain an organized job site, minimizing waste and promoting efficiency.

• Collaborate with construction teams to plan, schedule, and complete roofing projects on time and within budget.

• Adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

• Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, and clients.

• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and skill development programs.

• Consistently deliver high-quality workmanship and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced crew members.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial roofing.

• Knowledge of various roofing materials and installation methods.

• Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks.

• Strong attention to detail, especially with sealing and waterproofing.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.

• Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in all weather conditions, climb ladders, and access roofs safely.

• Must be capable of standing, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work comfortably at heights.

Driving Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record for travel to and from job sites.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

• 3+ years of commercial roofing experience

• Experience with roof coatings, mastic applications, and caulking

• Ability to read blueprints and roof plans

• Basic carpentry or sheet metal skills

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

• Aerial lift and/or forklift certification

• First Aid and CPR certification
