Job Description

Looking for local candidates to the Dallas/Fort Worth area or Atlanta, GA who can COMMIT to attending the ONSITE interview and work ONSITE in in either location 5 days a week . The client is NCR Voyix.

Interview process will be 2 rounds. Virtual interview (30 minutes) followed by 2-3 hour ONSITE interview. The onsite interview should be next day or two after a successful virtual interview .

Pay rate is $50-60/hr CTC (Flexible)

Contract is 12 months

Visa: USC, H4EAD Local candidates only

When sending candidates to me please including the following:

1. Pay rate for candidate
2. Full name of candidate
3. Current location of candidate
4. Copy of visa, EAD card
5. Copy of ID (driver's license)
6. Link to LI profile

Please make 100% sure that your candidate will work ONSITE in Irving or Atlanta 5 days a week and will COMMIT to attending the ONSITE interview for the final. If you have doubts or if I have doubts, I will NOT submit your local candidate. It does not look good to our client if after interviewing, the candidate changes their mind.

Other issues with resumes that the hiring manager has noted:

• Lists one skill, but then most of the work experience is in another skill.
• List every technology under the sun on their multi-page resume. There are just not very many people, if any, in the world that are proficient in so many technology stacks. So, be concise, tell me what you are good at.
• We are willing to consider H1 Candidates, but written and verbal communication must be clear.
• Please ensure that candidates only list technologies on their resume that they are proficient with, not just things they have worked around.

Description:

Role: C++/Win32 Developer

Contract: 12 months

Location: Irving, TX or Atlanta, GA

Schedule: 5 days onsite

Interview process: Virtual round followed by onsite interview

Must Haves:

5+ years of C++ experience in a Windows environment

Extensive Windows 32 programming experience

Extensive Visual C++ experience (on Windows platform)

Extensive Modern C++ experience

3+ years of Python experience

Someone who knows how to navigate older code

Looking for strong engineers that can also do automated qualification and fixing

Knows how to do defect fixing and debugging

Heavy automation experience

C# experience

Experience with any scripting language

Preferred:

• Java
• .NET
• Payments industry experience

Other needs:

• Experience MUST be recent or current and match the years of experience listed (5+) years of experience needs to be listed on resume
• Candidates must also have good experience doing unit testing as this is part of the software engineer role on this team (Framework like Google Test, CppUnit, etc.)
• In addition, wants to see software engineers that are very focused in this area and not part of a vast experience that includes this skill set

Duties:

• Designs and implements new product features and implements modifications to existing product features to include technical documentation.
• Builds and executes unit tests for new or existing application code.
• Works with Customer Care team members to resolve problems with released software.
• Exhibits very high personal commitment to quality, software engineering best practices, and protection of sensitive consumer information.
• Attends daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, work estimates.
• Provides input into and release management decisions.
• Ability to drive issues to effective resolution and to find solutions to challenging, time-critical problems.
• Mentors team members and conducts code and test reviews.

Other duties:

• Participate in an agile development team, implementing user stories with automated testing to verify acceptance criteria.

• Participate in the design, modify, implement, and document software application changes.
• Participate in analysis, design, testing, and review processes.
• Should be able to come up with effective effort estimation based on requirements.
• Write product specifications, designs, and technical manuals.
• Evaluate third-party products and specifications.
• Maintain responsibility of assigned tasks by using experience/knowledge of environment to make design/development decisions.
• Provide feedback to peer performance reviews.
• Educate others (technical and non-technical) on areas of expertise.
• Work under the supervision of an Engineering Manager.
• Provide development level support for assigned products and projects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
